![]() As of now, I still haven't decided what type of character I will play though.ģ) To be honest, ToB mostly gives survivability and utility. I like me my psionics and ToB (I'm not hard set on gestalt though I would prefer it). It gives more options, mages don't die to housecats critting, and characters are more unique, since you have more room for divergence.Ģ) Hehe. My current FtF group is trying to destroy a demon-blood tainted gem that can destroy the Realms of Arvandor. At the moment, I have responsible players. I don't have an issue with the leadership feat, but I am not as familiar with the potential abuses thereof. However, I've very much prefer to move to Pathfinder. They tend to mutate the base system enough that I have trouble understanding how to calibrate my games for them. In 3.5, the only things I have issue with are Path of War type changes. I started fairly restrictively and have been weaned off of it. What two classes were you considering combining?ģ) All 3.5 material allowed by default, with bans on case by case basis (feel free to ban say. I am finding I have a preference for Pathfinder which tends to have more in the way of martial casters. Why so high? A good GM can tailor the threat to the level you are. I'd like to review your request for this game : In fact, I still have it installed on my gaming PC. However, I played Fall from Heaven extensively. My track record GM on forum games is mixed. Dweomerkeeper-level of OP)ĥ) Epic fantasy adventure feel (as opposed to for example, intrigue based) I just like playing gishes that can also cast.ģ) All 3.5 material allowed by default, with bans on case by case basis (feel free to ban say. I hope to start at level 7-10.Ģ) Gestalt. Feel free to ask me why I want any of these, and don't feel obligated to fulfill them if any are a game breaker for you.ġ) Mid level. Hopes for the rules: I don't expect the DM to implement all of these, but I wish to put forward my preferences. Just as DM's look to pick good players for the game, I too hope to have a good DM to be in charge of the game. I know that life happens and such, but barring that I hope to have an active DM, who is confident in their abilities. As such I do hope to get a relatively experienced DM, who has ran a big setting campaign before, and who is active on the forums. There's also the saying "no game is better than a bad game". Hopes for DM: I know this is a big setting, and I hope to do it justice. For the DM, it would be fine to just know about wherever they want to start the players (if you plan on starting everyone in the lands of the Calabim (vampires), just read about calabim, and the like. This PDF has the setting information.įamiliarity with setting: The PDF is damn long, and I dont expect anyone to be fully familiar with everything in it. PDF with the setting information: Just to make sure no one misses it, I'll post it again. Anything else is more or less optional (though you can't NOT read atleast about one civilization and their God, unless everyone starts in the wilderness) Similarly, you can ignore generic descriptions for various buildings like the barracks.ĭM's readings: A DM should read from the start up to page 23, skipping any useless descriptions in last few pages as he sees fit. This can either be disregarded completely, or re-fluffed in D&D terms, where it either has some positive-plane traits, or boosting healing magic dramatically within it's vicinity. There are some references to the game's mechanics, like the Tomb of Sucellus described as granting a "life mana node". It is sorted by the gods of the world, and under each god there are the civilization that is most closely aligned to that god's ideals, the civilization's most prominent hero/leader, and a few other relevant bits. As such, I have this PDF which contains the general setting information. Like the fluff for the fireball spell talking abit about fire magic and such.Ībout setting: Obviously it would be silly to have a potential DM need to download the game, the mod, and look through the thing. In the game's "encyclopedia", the thing that describes how various units and buildings work, said things also have a section dedicated to fluff. The lore in the game is presented in a fashion somewhat similar to how dark souls has it done. The mod is based on a D&D campaign the creators of it played way back (from what I understand possibly even before 3.5). Setting's Origin: I am familiar with the setting because it serves as lore for a rather extensive mod for a popular (if somewhat old) game Civilization 4. Forgive me if I ramble abit too much in my explanation. I will give some background for the setting, and my general expectations of anyone who wants to DM below. I am hoping to have a game ran based on a certain setting.
